  1. Drink water! Water is an essential nutrient that your body needs to replenish fluids lost throughout the day. Drinking water instead of sugary drinks will also help your family maintain a healthy weight.
  2. Enjoy sugary drinks in moderation. Having a sugary beverage once in a while is okay. When you have a sugary drink, enjoy it in a small portion size. You can select smaller cans, glasses or cups to help keep the portions small.
  3. Use reusable containers to drink healthy beverages on the go. When you’re in a hurry, fill up a clean, refillable container and bring it when you while you are out. This can help you stay hydrated and save money instead of buying sugary drinks. Using reusable containers are also environmentally friendly.
